For its 6th  edition of the International Africa Development Forum, Attijariwafa bank wants to bring East and West Africa, two regions that do not talk to each other that much, together. “At  Attijariwafa bank, we deemed it fit to start to think global hence the choice of this 2019 edition:  When the East meets the West”, Mohamed El Kettani, Attijiwafa bank’s CEO, explains.

Seven countries will meet during the forum. They are namely two West African countries (Côte d’Ivoire and Mali), one Central African (Cameroon) and four East African countries ( Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda).

African firms that contribute to economic integration in the continent will be awarded South-South cooperation prizes.

The investment fund Al Mada, the main shareholder of  Attijari group, will distinguish young African entrepreneurs via its foundation. It will also present a panel on the theme “positive impact”, with the participation of Hassan Ouriagli, president of the fund and Lionel Zinsou, former prime minister of Benin and founder of the investment bank SouthBridge.

The International Africa Development Forum will be hosted at Hyatt Regencyde hotel in Casablanca on March 14-15, 2019.
